EIIC Employment Services
If you are looking for work or you are an employer looking for quality employees, why not avail of EIIC’s employment service? This free service is available to everyone and we have referred hundreds of job-seekers over the last five years. The Center also advises on how to conduct a successful job-search in the United States, a daunting procedure for many newcomers.
The Emerald Isle Immigration Center has assisted many in the community with employment related inquiries. Staff can provide assistance and resume critique. Both offices keep lists of employers who may be looking for help in addition to keeping your information on hand should a suitable job emerge.
EIIC Education Services
EIIC has long encouraged immigrants to avail of college opportunities in the United States and has been very instrumental in creating a culture of further studies among recent immigrants. In 1993, EIIC produced “Education: In Pursuit of the American Dream,” a complete guide to the system from the perspective of an Irish immigrant. The guide was co-authored by Paul Finnegan and Tom Kirwan. With the assistance of the American Irish Teachers’ Association mentoring team, EIIC has hosted numerous successful education seminars over the years, thereby bringing many prospective immigrant students into contact with committed community volunteer mentors.
Additionally the center offers computer classes at both offices and to check for details please call either office for details of the next available class. (718) 478-5502 Ext. 213 in Queens and (718) 324-03039 ext 101 for the Bronx.
