Free Shredding Event

Emerald Isle Immigration Center and The NYC Mayor’s Office, Community Affairs Unit invites the community to bring personal and confidential documents  to our Free Shredding Event.

Saturday, April 30th 10 AM – 1 PM

The 108th Precinct Community Affairs/Crime Prevention Unit Police Officers will provide:

  • Personal Safety, Identity Theft and Auto Theft Prevention Information.
  • Electronic Devices registrations with NYPD Operation I.D.

Operation ID is offered free of charge by the New York City Police Department and involves registering the serial number of valuable portable electronics along with owner’s name and contact information.

Meals On Wheels program provides daily meals to local Seniors

The Emerald Isle Immigration Center’s Meals On Wheels program provides daily meals to local Seniors who are unable to prepare meals for themselves due to an age related disability or illness.  The meals are delivered daily by a group of dedicated volunteers. We are always seeking new volunteers so please contact us at 718-324-3039 ext. 102 if you are interested or if you know of someone who would like to become a meal recipient. This program is generously funded by NYS Senator Jeff Klein and the New York State Department Of Aging (NYS DOA).

 

Emerald Isle closed while making improvements

Emerald Isle Immigration Center is proud to have been an integral part of the Woodlawn community for over 20 years. Since 1993, we have grown in service and in size. Earlier this year we were fortunate to become the owner of our long-time office at 4275 Katonah Avenue. Over the past weeks we have discovered the need to make emergency repairs to our building.

These emergency repairs have caused the occasional temporary closing of our office in the Bronx. For this we apologize to our clients and community. Please be assured that we will reopen as soon as possible.

Maureen Fegan

As a mark of respect for our esteemed colleague Maureen Fegan, who died Saturday March 19th, our Bronx office will close at 2pm Tuesday March 22nd and all day on Wednesday March 23rd.

Funeral Arrangements:
Wake and Viewing will take place on Tuesday, March 22nd from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm at: David J. Hodder & Son Funeral Home located at: 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704.

Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, March 23rd at 9:45 am at St. Barnabas’ Church located at: 409 East 241st Street, Bronx, NY 10470.
