Grocery store comes to Woodlawn after two-year absence

Woodlawn seniors no longer facing difficult trek for groceries as C-Town opens on Katonah Ave.

A Bronx neighborhood with a large senior population has a grocery store to call its own for the first time in years.

Forced to trek more than a mile to Yonkers for the closest store, Woodlawn residents will now have access to a Katonah Avenue C-Town Supermarket starting today — 22 months after another C-Town shuttered under the weight of high rent.

Weather related office closing

Please note both offices at the center are closed today Thursday, February 13 2014 due to the inclement weather.

New York City area USCIS offices closed tomorrow in anticipation of inclement weather

In consideration of employee and public safety, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Field Offices in Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island are rescheduling appointments for tomorrow, February 5th, in anticipation of inclement weather. All interview appointments will automatically be rescheduled for March 17th at the same time. (For example, if you are scheduled for a 2:30 pm interview appointment on February 5th, your new appointment will be 2:30 pm on March 17th.  Please bring your original appointment notice with you to the new appointment.) All INFOPASS appointments will automatically be rescheduled for February 24th at the same time.
